Stop Being Tired

Stop Being Tired is an e-book written by Peter Novak and Tina Hagen. It is also commonly known as the End Tiredness program.
The e-book itself is over 140 pages long – that’s one chunky guide to sleeping better! Plus, it comes with special bonus reports on shift-work and jet-lag that are actually relevant to the main book itself.
Taking a look at Peter and Tina’s website, here’s what they say you will learn from their ebook (my comments are underneath each point):
- The most common mistake that people do when they feel tired (you are probably doing it yourself).
Covered in lots of detail.
- How you can make your sleep more effective. Learn the secrets behind the 5 different stages of sleep and apply the secrets of your inner sleep system – you will be able to sleep less and feel more rested.
Basic information that you can find almost anywhere, but well-presented.
- Your body has an in-build mechanism that produces energy. You will learn how you can get control over it and increase the amount of energy that you have.
Well explained in the book.
- There are 4 basic substances that your body needs - if you don’t get them, you will feel tired. Just by learning this valuable information, you can ensure that you get all the things that you need – without any diet or pills.
Very well explained.
- How one hormone determines whether you feel tired or alert. You will learn 5 ways to control the level of this hormone in your body.
Covered.
- 8 simple things everybody can do to increase their energy level.
This is their ‘action plan’.
- Proven methods that will help you wake up easily each morning. You will never have to feel drowsy again. You can even throw away your alarm clock.
This alone is worth the price of the book.
- Which 3 common habits literally suck the energy from your system (not the ones we've already talked about).
Covered.
- How napping can actually make you feel more tired. You don’t need to nap, but if you do, then you should do it correctly. Use the true power of the ‘Power Nap’.
I wish that they had covered this in more detail, but you can’t have everything.
- The truth about your biological clock (also called ‘the circadian rhythm’) that every person needs to know.
Covered.
- 3 simple ways to get your brain in the ‘sleep mode’. You will learn how to easily fall asleep every day – no matter how hectic your day was.
Covered, and very, very valuable information.
- How your brain gets the energy. Discover 11 steps for ensuring that your brain will always function at its optimal.
I have to say, even I learnt a few things from this section.
Overall, Stop Being Tired is a great e-book that I would recommend for most people. I’d like to make a not-so-positive comment about the book though: Peter and Tina, please hire a better graphic designer! All the book pages have a psychedelic blue border around them, which DOES get annoying after you’ve read about 20 pages.
The book also follows a non-linear approach to introducing topics. The rationale given in the Introduction is that this allows reader to ‘pick what works for them’ and apply it. Personally, I would like to have seen some more structure to the sections or at least a table of contents for easy reference.
