Sleep MD
63Sleep MD? What’s that?
Sleep MD is a completely natural formula that helps people with sleeping difficulties. It is specifically formulated for people who are restless at night, have trouble sleeping or who suffer from sleeplessness. The promotional materials state that it:
- Promote healthy sleep patterns
- Help you fall asleep fast
- Help you wake up feeling refreshed
- Let you get more quality sleep
- Deliver restful, drug-free sleep when you need it (sleep-on-demand anyone?)
The Sleep MD formula itself contains a number of things: white willow extract (bark), valerian root extract and melatonin amongst other things. It also contains some form of ‘advanced delivery technology’ which I’m assuming act as catalysts to help your body process the other ingredients faster.
Ingredients
The main ingredients of Sleep MD probably mean very little to the average person. Here’s a closer look:
White willow bark - better known as salix alba. The extract is derived from salicyclic acid, which is sometimes used to treat fevers. If your insomnia is resulting from discomfort or pain, then this ingredient addresses it.
Valerian extract - there is a lot of debate online about the effectiveness of valerian extract in treating insomnia, and the medical evidence is somewhat inconclusive. In general, some people tend to find the extract life-saving when it comes to falling asleep, for others it has no effect whatsoever, making it somewhat hit-and-miss.
Melatonin - like Valerian extract, the jury is still out on melatonin. Nothing conclusive has ever been proven regarding the use of melatonin as a sleep aide, and my own observations have again, been that sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't.
Passionflower extract - passionflower extract is a traditional herb that has been used to treat sleeplessness and insomnia in the past. Unfortunately, there has never been any modern medical research done on its effectiveness, but I'll tell you know from experience that it works.
So what’s my opinion on Sleep MD? It works. Whilst I personally do not recommend the product because I know of better ways to improve the quality of my sleep, for people who want a ‘quick fix’ just to get to sleep, Sleep MD works. I would be lying to say it’s 100% effective (and I suggest that you very closely scrutinize anyone who makes that claim), but if you don’t want to take prescription drugs, Sleep MD may very well be what you’re looking for.

IT WORKED FOR ME AND MY ALZHEIMER HUSBAND, WHO HAS NOT SLEPT ALL NIGHT IN MONTHS.
A friend of mine who takes Sleep MD and swears by them gave me his after seeing what bad shape I was in from not sleeping. I am not surprised that Sleep MD didn't work for me, but it was very disappointing none-the-less. Took one, felt nothing. Was told to "just relax" when it was not working. After laying in bed for ten hours now on my fourth night of zero sleep. I came to the conclusion this stuff just was not working for me. I read up other peoples' reviews and only see two sides of it. People who it either was no effect on what so ever, or people who it does wonders for. Thumbs up to the lucky bastards who it works for. I will be waiting around till the 'next best thing' comes around. I am just glad the disappointment didn't have to come out of my own pocket.

I have to say I am very disappointed in this product. It is the worst $15.00 I have ever spent. I deal with insomnia and I have seen advertisments for this product and decided I would give it a try, the night I got it I took one tablet and that did not help so I wound up taking 6 pills and to my amazement I did not even get tierd, there is nothing like staring at the celing all night while the rest of the household is sleeping peacefully. I would not recommend this product to anyone and I would rethink all of your advertisments saying that you will fall asleep in minutes. I would say I would like my money back but I know that won't happen. Your product is a joke......
